Two smiling people, a woman and a man, sitting on stacked vintage rugs and furniture, with rugs and rolls of fabric behind them, against a teal wall with a red patterned tapestry hanging above.

About Us

Limiroko is Maine-based couple Liam and Minori Hedefine. The rug business can be tricky, but we try to operate under the following principles:

A Reflection of Our Taste
We don’t list every rug we find. Instead, we list only the pieces that speak to us—in colors or patterns, in story or patina. Each rug you see here is something we’d be proud to live with ourselves; from true antiques to vintage and contemporary pieces. Our collection is less about availability and more about sharing the pieces that we believe are distinctive and enduring.

More Than a Rug
Every rug we offer comes with a background. We take the time to study each piece—its origin, age, and what it’s reflective of in broader history—so that we can share not just a rug, but its place in tradition. Whether a village weaving with humble charm or a workshop piece with refined detail, we do the legwork to understand its background. That way, when you choose a rug from us, you know it has been thoughtfully identified and honored for what it truly is.

Fair and Transparent Pricing
Each rug is priced based on its age, condition, craftsmanship, and rarity—not on hype or market trends. Our goal is to offer clear and honest value so you know exactly what you’re paying for. No inflated markups, no guessing—just rugs priced fairly for what they truly are.
