OVERVIEW:
Afshar rugs of this vintage are often hailed for their array of colors, and this is no different. While the condition may leave it tired for the floor, the diminutive format and presentation beg for the wall anyways. I think what makes me turn my head at something like this is the sheer number of tones this rug utilizes, even if only once or twice. The standout is the ‘lime’ green that makes its appearance in the pinstripe border, as well as an auxiliary color in the secondary stepped diamonds within the field.
