OVERVIEW:
Long ago, someone decided to antique-wash this rug, draining it of its original hues, however, this being a Kurdish piece, most likely from Northwest Persia, means that most of the elements that made it individualistic were retained, outside of the color, of course. A flexible weave, soft pile, distinguishing characteristics like the spacious border and rudimentary central medallion are all elements that save this rug from its earlier fate.
Of note, and something that may be missed, is a dark green field backing the archaic central medallion. A diamond, in my opinion, and something with an honest origin, despite its current state.

Worn, of course.
