OVERVIEW:
Occasionally rugs of the Heriz/Georavan area will stump those with familiarity of the normal ‘types’. Serab, Heriz, Karaja and of course some of the minor weaving areas as well don’t quite fit the profile of a rug like this. But then again, if the rug is beautiful, this devotion to attribution matters less.
An exceptional little runner with large swaths of skittish abrash, idiosyncratic medallions and human forms that give this piece an undeniable village feel.
CONDITION:
Near-mint condition, slightly curvy shape
