A classically Baluch bag face design. A square field with a central 8-pointed star shape with a hooked cruciform creating 4 quadrants, each with abstracted floral shapes. Beyond this, the field is surrounded by an unsure 14 further 8-pointed star medallions against a deep blue background. Of prominent note is the presence of a faded fuchsine dye, solidifying the 19th C. attribution.
CONDITION:
Excellent condition with high even pile, preserved Kilim top and slight kilim loss on bottom
