Notable Aspects:
Looking back now and writing about this rug, I have to say, there are many things about it that feel very rudimentary (in a good way), especially when compared with many of the more calculated Sarouks I’ve come across since. Anywhere there are the 8-sided lilies, that drawing is almost Kurd-like in it’s style which is very interesting. I also love the drawing of the ferns used in the spandrel areas of the rugs which almost have a zebra-like quality to them.
