Looking at this know, I must say that this is one of those pieces that really shows how blurry the line of Hamadans can be. The weave is very reminiscent of Malayer rugs, very tight and very detailed. It is most likely from one of the villages bordering these two areas. The handle was very much like these rugs as well, less stiff, softer.
